Austy and Pat’s wedding was a true fusion of their Persian and Irish cultures. I loved how much thought Austy put into every aspect of her wedding, from researching the different traditions for each culture, to including family mementos, to adding fun elements that represent her and Pat…like a giant Rice Krispy wedding cake!
They tied the knot at Roche Harbor on a brisk but sunny October day. Their wedding started with a Persian ceremony, followed by a Christian ceremony with a Celtic rope tying ritual. For the reception decor, Austy chose simple but beautiful centerpieces wrapped in nautical rope as a nod to the Roche Harbor marina. The guest favors were magnets created from paintings done by Austy’s late mother and were displayed on individual mini painting easels. My favorite part was definitely the large Rice Krispy wedding cake which tasted just as delicious as it looked! I wish every wedding had a cake like this!!!
