Romantic and Classic Winery Wedding
Lake Chelan boasts some of the most spectacular views in Washington state. And Karma Vineyards capitalizes on that view. The second Brooke + Jake saw the ceremony location they immediately knew this is where they were going to marry. They both love to get outdoors as much as possible. And the fact that the venue is also a winery made the deal even sweeter for an already sweet couple.
When I first met Brooke + Jake it was obvious they love each other. Their smiles. Their laughter. And they brought their love and their passion to the planning process. Brooke knew her color palette, romantic blushes and whites. And they both knew they didn’t want their decor to detract from their venue. Their instinct for clean and classic was spot on.

Brooke + Jake’s wedding incorporated many sweet and personalized elements. And that could really be seen at their welcome table. Guests signed their messages of love in a book featuring photos of Brooke + Jake.
As guests entered the property they were met with gorgeous gardens and a babbling brook. Again, we didn’t want to take away from the natural beauty. So we kept it classic with their welcome sign with hand calligraphy from Songbird Paperie in Seattle.
A Ceremony with a View
Just as guests finished enjoying their glass of bubbly upon arrival, a trolley whisked them to the top of the hill for the ceremony. And what a ceremony it was.
The view. Just breath taking. We didn’t want to compete with it or detract from it so we kept décor to an absolute minimum. Two wine barrels, appropriate I know, were adorned with two lush, garden style floral pieces. Brooke + Jake said their “I dos” with Lake Chelan behind them. It was a personal ceremony filled with love, laughs and prayer. The weather looked like it was going to take a turn as the sky grew dark and the winds picked up. But Brooke + Jake took it in stride as they exchanged their vows.

Romantic Reception
The venue is just so striking and unique. Lush with greenery and surrounded by vineyards. So we really didn’t want the table scape to take away from the venue’s natural beauty. We relied on the couple’s blush and white color palette to do the talking. Clean and classic white table linen. Blush napkins. Elegant greenery lined each table. Acrylic table numbers. Their seating chart, also by Songbired Paperie, mirrored their welcome sign. And with bubbly in hand, Brooke + Jake made their grand entrance into the reception flanked by their friends and family.

After dinner, guests were invited into the wine cave. Yes, you read that right. A wine cave. The temperature was super cool which felt so wonderful to walk into out of that Lake Chelan heat!
Brooke + Jake cut their beautiful cake here with their sweet cake topper, “Mr. and Mrs. Yount.” Guests were also treated to cupcakes and macarons with just the sweetest detail of ribbon and a customized sticker.

Brooke + Jake were just an absolute delight to work with. While they knew what they wanted they were totally open to my opinions and trusted the planning process. Brooke was incredibly organized and on it. Her biggest wish was to be able to enjoy her wedding day and not worry about anything. Brooke’s Mom paid me the biggest compliment, saying I was “a miracle worker” because she’d never seen her daughter “so zen.” Brooke + Jake made the entire process so much fun. And the love they have for each other shown through to their guests. It was my pleasure to bring their vision to life in one of the most beautiful settings in the state!
Congratulations Brooke + Jake!
Until next time! ~Katie
