We are thrilled to finally share photos and details from Lorraine + Nevin’s wedding at Bastyr University and The Woodmark Hotel! Theirs is one of our most favorite cross-cultural weddings in Perfectly Posh Events history!

A Tale of Two Coasts
It was a wedding that blended two cultures and two coasts seamlessly. Lorraine, originally from Seattle, met Nevin, a New Yorker, and their love story began. They wanted to honor their roots and heritage, and they did so in a beautiful way.
The rehearsal dinner took place at The Lodge at St. Edwards Park, where Lorraine and Nevin donned traditional attire from their Indian and Syrian backgrounds. It was a beautiful display of cultural pride and unity.

Wedding Ceremony at Bastyr University Chapel
On the wedding day, Lorraine wore a stunning long-sleeve gown from Kleinfeld’s with a cathedral lace veil, which added a timeless elegance to her look. The Syrian Orthodox ceremony was accompanied by priests, piano, songs, and prayers, making it a deeply meaningful experience.

Lakefront Reception at The Woodmark Hotel & Still Spa
The reception was held at The Woodmark Hotel in Kirkland, where guests were treated to stunning sunset views of Lake Washington before gathering in a beautifully decorated tent. The color palette was a dreamy combination of soft oranges, peaches, creams, sage green, and dusty blue accents. The bridesmaids wore sage gowns, which contrasted beautifully with their peach, cream, and dusty blue bouquets.

Lush & Bountiful Tablescapes
The tent was draped in crawling smilax greenery in the canopy, and the floral arrangements were in the coinciding color palette, adding a touch of whimsy and romance. Some of the guest tables featured bountiful fruit displays of oranges, melons, and kiwis surrounded by lovely sage green taper candles and candlelight, creating a cozy, intimate atmosphere.

‘Let Them Eat Cake!’
Lorraine and Nevin commissioned Blue Box Bakery to craft a five-tier buttercream cake with dusty blue watercoloring accented with peach and cream ranunculus flowers and textured berries and greenery. The cake was a true work of art and a delicious way to celebrate their special day.

After their first dance under the tent and cutting the cake, guests were directed inside to the ballroom for dancing and dessert. It was a night filled with laughter, love, and cultural celebration. Lorraine and Nevin’s wedding was a beautiful reminder that love knows no bounds and that blending cultures can create an unforgettable experience for all involved. We wish them all the happiness in the world as they begin their new journey together.
