Modern and Moody Winery Wedding
We’ve been waiting so long to share the photos from Hayley + Konner’s nuptials, and we’re thrilled to finally share them with the world! Their modern and moody wedding was just featured on B. Loved which means we can now share their beautiful day!

When your weekend getaways consist of visiting your favorite wineries, and having all the wine tastings, it only makes sense to get married at one! Hayley + Konner loved wine, and everyone knows wine brings people together in such a unique and beautiful way! When they found Novelty-Hill Januik Winery in Woodinville, WA, they knew they wanted to say ‘I Do’ there and gather everyone they love in one place to eat, drink, and be married–even their Rottweiler, Coors!

When I sat down with Hayley + Konner, we wrote down a few words they wanted to describe the look/feel of the day. Luxe, Moody, and Modern were those words, and they went perfectly with the architecture and vibe the venue gave off, so we knew it was sure to be a perfect pairing! From there, we came up with textures, clean lines, greenery + rich, moody colors for the design scheme: Marsala, burgundy, deep dark reds (hello, wine!), muted grays and oranges, blush, greenery. Lots and lots of greenery.

Geometric Ceremony
We couldn’t have asked for better weather for their ceremony! The ceremony happened out on the outdoor terrace at Novelty, where lush trees line either side of the aisle. We strung bistro lights that zig-zagged between the trees to create a romantic mood. Loving geometric lines, the couple commissioned Gather Design Co. to fashion a hexagon-shaped arch to say ‘I Do’ under. It was the dreamiest of sites. The tall, wild arrangements paved the way to the focal point–the hexa-arch. In addition, we adorned the arch with gorgeous, moody blooms to soften the harsh lines of the geometric shape.

After the ceremony, Guests enjoyed the venue’s tasting room for cocktail hour, where they scoured the custom-made copper escort sign by Songbird Paperie. We integrated copper elements everywhere we thought it would vibe well–including their bar menus, welcome sign, and escort sign! See below for more moody copper inspiration!

Dark and Moody Reception
After cocktail hour, guests adjourned into the Terrace Room for dinner, where you could hear audible “oos” and “aahs” from guests as they entered. The showstoppers of H+Ks moody and modern wedding were the two Edison bulb chandeliers from Vintage Ambiance that we hung in the space. Gather Design Co. weaved crawling, vine-like greenery, to immerse guests and create a moody ambiance. With copper being a re-occurring medium, we had Songbird Paperie fashion copper table numbers. In addition, we framed Hayley + Konner’s seats at their head table with a copper arch from Yay Parties that donned yet again, more Edison bulbs– and some greenery to soften it. We repurposed all of the tall centerpieces that lined the ceremony aisle onto the guest tables, which is a little trick we wedding planners like to pull out from time to time to help with cost!

Hayley + Konner were the perfect couple to work with. They knew what they wanted, but also trusted the wedding planning process. Thanks for trusting me and your knockout vendor team to make all your gorgoues, moody dreams come true. Congrats Hayley + Konner, and happy belated wedding anniversary!
