If this wedding looks familiar to you, or if you missed it, Holly + Dustin’s wedding was one of the weddings featured in our Fifty Shades blog series! Their wedding color scheme revolved around the most glorious shade of pink! Petal pink, to be exact!
We’re back to give H+D’s wedding a little more love, and to share some more eye candy and all the personal details that made this wedding the stunner that it is!
Holly and Dustin tied the knot at Golden Garden’s Bathhouse on a sunny September afternoon with their closest family and friends! The anticipation of the day was palpable! Everyone was so excited for the day to enfold!
Holly + Dustin were so laid back and easy going throughout the whole planning process, and their big day way no different! The love and tenderness between them was so obvious that day. It was apparent it really was a celebration of love.
The girls donned pale pink gowns, while the boys looked dapper in gray ties and suits. The resounding hue throughout the day was the elegant and subtle Petal Pink, with pops of Parachute Purple and Gossamer Pink against a classic Antique White.
The flowers were the main vehicle in which these colors made their appearance on the day! They were so delicate and feminine; a perfect contrast against the brick and concrete of the reception space, which you will see later!
The sun decided to miraculously cooperate with their plans to have an outdoor ceremony on a September afternoon in Seattle! Holly + Dustin said “I Do” under a shaded, lace backdrop, surrounded by their nearest and dearest loved ones. It was September perfection.
The ceremony was followed by a relaxing reception featuring a pizza oven and lots of personalized details in their décor.
For the design of the day, Holly was inspired by the trend of modern graphics mixed with vintage pieces that give off a modern eclectic vibe. We loved the incorporation of old, wooden crates to give some dimension to their cake table!
She used her professional skills to create the signage, décor elements and centerpieces for their special day. It was definitely a labor of love and it turned out so cute!!!
A unique installation they had, was their family tree photos were suspended above the guestbook table, where they had guests write words of encouragement or advice on the back of photos of the H+D in their element, enjoying hiking and cycling in the PNW!
As the September sun set below the Sound, Holly + Dustin were able to capture a few sunset shots that were so precious, we had to share a few.
They were sent off into their new journey with a sparkler exit; a perfect reminder of the feeling their love gives them–fireworks.
Congrats H+D! Holly had such a great time celebrating with you.
Until next time!
