I am thrilled to officially welcome Bridget to the Perfectly Posh Events team! She will be working alongside me in our Planning Studio as my Administrative Assistant, plus working with some of our 2015 couples as their Associate Planner & Day-of Coordinator. She joined Perfectly Posh Events with a background in catering and event planning with experience in Denver and LA. Bridget has a clear passion for weddings and has a touch of Southern charm and hospitality thanks to her South Carolina roots. I can’t wait for you to meet her!
Tell me a little bit about yourself:
Charleston, South Carolina is where I’m proud to call home. I always love going home every now and then to get my dose of cobblestone roads, sandy beaches, and amazing Lowcountry Cuisine. As much as I love Charleston, I also love to travel and explore new places. I spent some time doing some cross country driving, always taking the long route. I relocated to Boulder, Colorado and Los Angeles, California where I gained more experience in the event industry. I’m ready to settle down and what better place to do that than Seattle! When I’m not obsessing about weddings or traveling, you can find me hiking, kayaking, discovering new restaurants or enjoying live local music.
Why are you interested in working in the wedding industry?
Being able to contribute to some of the happiest moments of someone’s life is priceless. The months and months of hard work that go into a wedding is all worth it when you see everything come together on the day of. It’s one of the few careers you can be creative and feel the pay off in the end.
What inspires you?
I’m inspired by surrounding myself with things that make me happy. I find myself most creative and motivated when I am listening to really great music and being outside.
What is your favorite color?
I’m always going through different phases of what my favorite color is. It depends on my mood, the season, or the current trend. I’m normally attracted to neutral colors and soft hues like light grays and pinks.
How would you describe your personal style?
Since I grew up near the beach, you will usually find me in long maxi dresses and flip flops on my days off. Feeling pretty and being comfortable is what I strive for.
What is your favorite sweet treat?
I love the sweet & salty combination like yogurt covered pretzels or salted caramel truffles.
What three items would you want to have if you were stranded on a desert island?
Besides needing the essentials for survival, I would bring with me my vinyl collection, a pair of sunglasses, and a kayak (for recreational use but also a possible way to escape!).
What’s your favorite moment during a wedding?
“I do.” Ugh, no matter how many weddings I do or even if I’m just watching a TV show or a movie, that moment always makes me tear up!
What’s your all-time favorite song?
How is it possible to pick just one favorite song? I’d say my favorite Pandora stations are Mumford & Sons, Band of Horses, and Alabama Shakes.
What is your favorite TV show?
By far The Walking Dead is my favorite show. It’s the one show that I schedule my social life around. I also won’t check my Facebook page until I’ve seen the newest episode because it just takes that one status update that will spoil it. Let’s just say I take it pretty seriously.
