Tell me a little bit about yourself:
You could say I’m a country girl at heart. I grew up in Eastern Washington, but now live in Bothell. As the saying goes, “You can take the girl out of the country, but you can’t take the country out of the girl!” I’m the third child of four siblings in my enthusiastic, food-loving family. Growing up I rode and competed in horseback riding. I still have my trusty steed, Chance, who has been with me since those “good ol’ days”. I am a huge fan of the Seattle Seahawks and am still hopeful for a another shot at the Super Bowl! I find enjoyment in hiking and traveling and being adventurous–like jumping out of a perfectly good airplane! Also, I love taking my little dachshund, Lola, out for walks or to chase her ball. I’m always up for new experiences and adventure! I’ve been working in the wedding industry as a coordinator for two years now, and I’m over the moon to join the Perfectly Posh Events team!
Why are you interested in working in the wedding industry?
You could say I am a hopeless romantic. I find it very rewarding to help a couple create and execute one of the most important and memorable days of their lives! There’s something special about watching a couple choosing to choose each other, in front of their loved ones and committing themselves to one another in all aspects of life in a beautiful, selfless declaration. Helping to bring love and support around two people who have made that public commitment through a celebration sounds like a special and unique way to live your life! I find energy and satisfaction through the entire process, no matter how crazy or demanding it may be.
What inspires you?
On a sentimental level, sunshine and animals bring me inspiration!A trail ride with my horse and a good dose of Vitamin D is what recharges me. On a deeper level, being the good I wish to see in the world inspires me to try to live a life that is generous, loving, and humble–to me, that is a life worth living!
What is your favorite color?
On Sundays, it’s lime green and navy. (Go Hawks!) Monday-Saturday, it’s yellow!
How would you describe your personal style?
Chic and trendy, but practical. And on days when I’m feeling my country roots, it’s glitzy and sassy, with a little bit of fringe.
What is your favorite sweet treat?
Out of all things, it would be French Macarons. You will find me indulging in a fresh-baked lemon macaron in downtown Kirkland at Lady Yum.
What three items would you want to have if you were stranded on a desert island?
a knife for survival // a satellite radio to stream Shania Twain // a great book.
What’s your favorite moment during a wedding?
My favorite moment during a wedding is when everyone is watching the bride walk down the aisle, only I’m watching the groom’s reaction. I often find if the photographer is able to capture that moment on camera, it’s the picture that I look back on and find that it evokes the most emotion out of me. It’s a beautiful moment!
What’s your all-time favorite song?
Anything from Ben Rector. But if I had to choose, it’d be “Forever Like That”.
What is your favorite TV show?
Friends. Hands down.
Describe yourself in three adjectives:
Enthusiastic, Kind, and Easygoing.
Until next time!
