After Covid reschedule after Covid reschedule, an intimate ceremony amidst a pandemic, a new baby, and a home remodel, it was finally time for Kailey + Stephen to have the reception with their loved ones they had been waiting for. Hailing from our Northern neighbor Canada, Stephen insisted on throwing a party worth the trip for his loved ones from Calgary and beyond.

Kailey + Stephen were a dream to work with– the kind of couple that you become friends with! How could you not!? We went through so many battles together, through the THREE YEARS of planning we did together. We re-planned their event time and time again, and all the while, they were steadfast and understanding along the whole way. I’m so elated to share photos from their day with everyone.
Pre-Party Brunch al Fresco

Since Kailey + Stephen were already married, one of the fun changes we made to our wedding planning, was to have a brunch for their closest friends and family before the big party happening later in the evening. We set-up long tables on the dance floor, under a canopy of lush vines strung across from the Admiral’s House, with dreamy French blue striped linens, with pops of mustard in the napkins and blue water goblets. Don’t forget the white sangrias and family style brunch–yum!

Guests mingled while overlooking Elliott Bay as Kailey + Stephen shared quick heartfelt ‘thank you’s’ to everyone before they broke off and finished getting ready for the rest of the evenings’ festivities.
After a quick wardrobe change, a pre-vow-renewal cocktail hour for all guests and family ensued on the remainder of the lawn, complete with gorgeous al fresco structures furnished with luxurious soft seating and a view of Elliott Bay.

Kailey + Stephen dreamt up these al fresco structures, reminiscent of Southern California, furnished with the most luxurious soft seating, that invited guests to stay a while.

Vow Renewal on the West Lawn
After the mingling cocktail hour, flutes of champagne were passed around, and guests were invited to take a seat for Kailey + Stephen’s vow renewal and a toast to the couple. Their daughter Sloane even had a chair reserved especially for her! They finally got to have the celebration they had dreamt of– regardless if it looked a little different than they had originally planned.

At the conclusion of the formal portion of the evening, guests enjoyed tapas on the lawn and the sunset before dancing the night away in the front lawn of the Admiral’s House. They partied into the wee hours of the morning– and no time ordinances were going to slow this crew down– they were prepared with a silent disco party! What a hoot to watch!

I’m thrilled to see you two finally get all of your favorite humans in the same space to celebrate the family you two have made. Love love love to you three. <3 Congratulations!
