We have several event assistants but Huoy is different because she also assists Holly directly with administrative work and will be doing blog posts for your reading pleasure. In addition, Huoy is available to provide Day-Of or Month-of Wedding Coordination to couples who are interested in our Simply Coordination services!

Let’s get to know a little more about the amazing Huoy!
Tell us a little bit about yourself:
Born and raised in North Carolina (go Tarheels!), I moved to Los Angeles after graduating college. I taught high school chemistry and in my spare time, I discovered the lovely beaches, the vast shopping and the delicious food of LA. After we got engaged, my now-husband and I moved to Seattle, his hometown, in 2010. Here, we settled into life in the great PNW and planned the wedding of our dreams last year. We still spend our spare time discovering the wonderful food and eclectic shopping here, but instead of beaches we enjoy taking hikes.
Why do you love being a wedding coordinator?
I absolutely adore weddings! I love how each wedding is different and reflects the love of the bride and groom. As a wedding coordinator, I enjoy putting my stylish eye together with my attention to detail to help couples realize their perfect wedding day. This means couples can truly enjoy their wedding day with their loved ones while I take care of all the behind-the-scenes details.
What inspires you?
I’m really inspired by a couple’s story. Learning about how they met, how they fell in love and how they eventually decided to spend the rest of their lives together really inspires me to provide them with ideas and resources to plan the wedding of their dreams.
How would you describe your personal style?
I would describe my style as classic and sophisticated with a feminine touch. I love girly dresses, pretty prints and punches of colors in my outfits. My go-to outfit is pairing a statement necklace with a feminine blouse and, like Holly, wearing an awesome pair of heels.
What’s your all-time favorite song?
It has to be “Stay With You” by John Legend. It was the first dance song at our wedding. Every time I hear it now, I’m immediately transported to that moment of that wonderful day.

What’s your favorite TV show?
My all-time favorite show is the Gilmore Girls. I love the witty banter and the small-town charm of Stars Hollow. Thank goodness for reruns!
What’s your favorite sweet treat?
I don’t have a big sweet tooth, but when the mood strikes me, I love the homemade ice cream at Molly Moons!
Describe yourself in three adjectives:
I’m super organized, creative and, most importantly, fun!
