Helen and Pat were both in medical residency when they got engaged so the enlisted the guidance and creative direction of Associate Planner, Huoy to help coordinate and design their wedding! At first, they envisioned their day at a very classic and elegant venue, but after refining their design vision, they decided that they wanted something more vintage and garden-style! So they made the plunge and switched venues to the historic Robinswood House in Bellevue, and the results–well, see for yourself!
Helen and Pat’s vision came to fruition for their wedding day. They envisioned a romantic vintage wedding with a touch of dainty and whimsical details.
From the garden ceremony to the dance floor under the stars with twinkle lights, the beautiful wedding day was merely a backdrop to their amazing love story!
The couple opted not overdo it on the floral, and instead had the flowers compliment the overall scheme of the entire day! H+ P were surrounded by blooms, loved ones, and an overwhelming amount of support.
Their reception was just as breathtaking and effortless–but don’t take our word for it! From mis-matched plates, to lace runners under a stunning white tent, guests were in for a treat.
Adding touches like vintage décor rentals really helped to elevate their design to the next level and created a cheerful ambiance for guests.
My favorite part of their design was the close attention to little details. They focused more on adding small touches that represented their personalities, like cute signs on the restroom doors and a fun alcohol sign on the bar.
From the Bride Helen:
The few days before the wedding were both exciting and stressful. The weather forecast called for rain on our wedding day and of course we had planned for everything to be outdoors. We had reserved a tent for the reception area, but were really hoping to be able to have the ceremony in the garden. Luckily for us, there wasn’t even a drop of rain on our wedding day and it was even sunny! We really could not have asked for a more perfect day, and the fact that we had all of our loved ones surrounding us made it even more memorable.
If I had to give a word of advice to future brides, it would be to not stress over the small details and really just enjoy your wedding day. It is probably the only time in your lives where everyone you love, from every aspect of your life, will be together in one place. I do not remember the table settings or what the cake table looked like, but I vividly remember walking down the aisle on my father’s arm and crying the moment I saw all of our family and friends standing and smiling. I remember the hugs and toasts, more crying, dancing, and how incredibly happy we were that day.
