Debra and Matt tied the knot at Laurel Creek Manor on a gorgeous summer day and was the perfect setting for their big day!
The two first met in Houston, Texas, several years after their mom’s became best friends – Debra actually knew Matt’s entire family before meeting him, which was a good thing, since both of them are really family oriented! After dating for several years in Houston, they moved to Seattle and made it their home. For their wedding, they wanted to plan a fun, light atmosphere that showed off the Pacific Northwest to their out of town guests from the South.
As I got to know D+M, I learned all about their tastes and were able to incorporate some of their own personal style into the look of their wedding day. I learned that purple was Debra’s favorite color, so we incorporated that as their main wedding color accented with white, lavender, and pink, and the result was cool and refreshing on that warm summer day! The bridesmaids donned shorter, lavender gowns while the men wore classic grey suits with purple pocket squares and vests. Florals for the day were provided by the talented Sublime Stems and polished off the look!
Their ceremony took place in Laurel Creek’s garden under a classic white pergola. Programs for the ceremony also served as a way for guests to keep cool under the PNW sunshine! Guests were given ribbon wands to wave and celebrate Debra + Matt as they led their processional into the celebratory reception!
The evening continued with a gorgeous white tent to serve as the perfect setting for a relaxing reception, that welcomed guests with a unique table assignment experience, by scribing guests names on the panes of a series of old windows. The small but lively group in attendance finished off the evening by dancing the night away under the stars and strings of Italian café lights. D+M were sent off into their new adventure together in an ocean of lavender ribbons to end their romantic celebration of their love.
