We had so much fun this past weekend combining our talents with some of Seattle’s best weddings vendors at I Do Sodo! From the pink flamingo straws to the spunky place card holders, we had Metropolist decked out in full Palm Springs Mid-Century attire.
Barbie Hull Photography did a wonderful job capturing memories from last weekend, and we can’t wait to show you how we, along with our incredible team, transformed Metropolist into a vivacious cocktail party! We could not have been more happy with our contribution to the smashing success of the inaugural I Do Sodo wedding show. Check it out!
Guests were greeted by the aroma of rich espresso shots wafting through the doors of Metropolist, compliments of the talented Espresso Elegance. We were told this was a much needed treat for some of our guests who were in dire need of caffeine to kickstart their long day of touring!
As they walked into the main event space of the venue, Bamboo Beats greeted guests with the upbeat tunes, that welcomed our new friends to our Palm Springs Cocktail party! They kept the party going all day!
The festive food for the day was provided by our friends over at City Catering Company who knocked it out of the park! From the adorable pink flamingo straws that accompanied their homemade grapefruit soda bottles, to the popular mac ‘n cheese bar, to the delicious passed hors d’oeuvres that had both savory and sweet selections! We were so spoiled!
Guests meandered around the venue, speaking with our various team members, and admiring all of the beautiful displays set-up for guests to marvel at, take pictures of, and ask questions about!
We loved our Mid-Century Palm Springs inspired table display. Filled with vibrant colors and retro design, our table was dressed to the nines by a whole slew of our team members. Vintage Ambiance provided all of the glassware. CORT Party Rentals with the flatware. Choice Linens with the napkins and runners. Butter & Bloom with the cake displays and floral arrangements, and last but not least, Songbird Paperie with all the papered goods on the table!
We also created a beautiful ceremony space, much in large to our friend Rachel, with Butter & Bloom, who helped bring our vision to life! What a stunner it was in that space. We loved the resemblance the background installation had of a “breeze-way”. Very Palm Springs! The altar was complete with a bride and groom, with the gown provided by the lovely ladies over at Le Salon Bridal.
Next-door was one of the most popular pit-stops in our guest’s tour–The SnapBar photo booth! It didn’t take much for the photo booth to fit in–it went along perfectly with our theme! And our guests loved their souvenirs.
We had the coolest statement piece that also served as our bar for the day! The Sidecar Mobile Bar was the eye-catcher of the entire event! It was a huge hit, and the perfect piece to polish off our vintage feel.
Around the venue were various lounge areas for guests to take a breather on their long journey, all with era-appropriate furniture pieces that were provided by Vintage Ambiance. We loved the orange sofa! Talk about pizazz!
A la Mode Pies brought the era appropriate dessert for guests to sample–pies! And boy, were they yuuuummy! Thanks for sharing your delicious delicacies with us, you guys!
Our tour didn’t stop there. We also showcased the upstairs bridal lounge, where brides and their bridal party can hide away on their big day. We had a few other of our team members up there to fill the space with all things beauty. Ambra Emerald Eyes was our on-site makeup artist and was accompanied by the lovely ladies of Le Salon Bridal where they showcased another of their beautiful dresses their salon carries.
There were a few behind the scenes team members that we cannot let go unnoticed! Prop Gallery provided all the beautiful drapery that was hung throughout the space. CORT Party Rentals provided the necessities, like tables and linens! Songbird Paperie provided paper goods like programs for all of our visitors, signage, and the fun invitation suite you’ve seen! And Butter & Bloom with all things floral and decor!
We had such a great time, and for all of you that came out, thanks for stopping by! We were glad to have you, and hope you had as much fun as we did! See you next year!
